CHEM 590 Chemistry Capstone (Graduate)

Integration of knowledge and understanding from the literature that transcends subdisciplinary boundaries of chemistry. The focus of this course is on developing a learning module that introduces students enrolled in introductory-level chemistry courses (e.g. CHEM-C 101, CHEM-C 105, CHEM-C 106) to topics/concepts typically presented at upper-level undergraduate level or beyond, to include applications presented in the scientific literature.  You are required to explain how it relates to everyday life and explain its importance to society.

Note: This course is required for the graduate certificate.

Prerequisite: 9 (preferably 12) hours of graduate chemistry & a license to teach high school chemistry.
