CPET 56500 Mobile Computing Systems (Graduate)

This course introduces the system architecture, technologies, and applications of mobile computing. It provides a review of concepts, design strategist, tools and APIs needed to create applications for mobile phones. Topics include: design of mobile user interface, application life-cycle, multi-threading, data persistency, database, networking and web services, graphics and animation. Currently the course explores the Android Operating System and its supporting SDK.
Prerequisite: Be familiar with basic concepts in operating system and networks; a good knowledge of either C/C++ or Java programming language.
