Crafting, Coding and Circuitry (Workshop)

This workshop will be presented in an online format.
Think of your classroom as a playground where children take risks, venture into uncharted waters, and engage in free-range play! This workshop will turn a makerspace into a playground for elementary education teachers to craft, code, and construct novel ways of thinking, teaching & tinkering by building interactive objects, creating wearable electronics, coding robots, & designing digital games. All activities will be connected to the Indiana Content Standards. Click here for Learning Outcomes.
Teachers will receive:
- Drafts of lesson plans, new ideas, & strategies to ignite passion, purpose & play
- Free individual origami circuits, sewing circuits, and bit: booster media center checkout kit
- Certificate of PGP hours
Prerequisite: None
Workshops are designed to be regional professional development opportunities. Teachers may register for any available workshop that is not within their region; however, STEM Teach does not reimburse for travel expenses.
