Hands-on Physics 2 – Electricity and Magnetism and Light (Workshop)

In this workshop, participants will build two classroom demonstrations/experiments using low-cost, easy-to-obtain materials. This workshop will focus on electricity and magnetism and light, consisting of an electric motor experiment and a light interference/diffraction experiment. After building each experiment, participants will work in groups to create concise yet complete explanations of the physics behind the experiments. They will also develop teaching materials for each experiment (e.g. guided inquiry questions or practice problems related to each experiment). Click Here for Learning Outcomes.
