Introduction to Web Development (Workshop)

This workshop will be presented in an online format. 

This workshop will introduce HTML (HyperText Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) which are the fundamental technologies behind most web pages. Participants will learn to create web page content and structure using HTML and the
how to format web pages with CSS using freely available tools (text editor and web browser). Participants will create and post pages to a local web server and learn about options that can be used in their classrooms. On-line learning options and resources will be reviewed. Additional tools, technologies, and next steps will be reviewed. Click here for Learning Outcomes. Each participant will receive a printed packet of information. 

Prerequisite: No previous computer experience is required. Participants are asked to have their laptops during the workshop. Macintosh, Windows, or Chromebooks may be used.

Workshops are designed to be regional professional development opportunities. Teachers may register for any available workshop that is not within their region; however, STEM Teach does not reimburse for travel expenses.
