Making the Elementary Math Classroom Come Alive with PBL (Workshop)

This workshop will be presented in an online format.
This workshop supports elementary teachers in designing project-based learning units to deeply engage their students in elementary mathematics. We explore the nuts and bolts of designing an effective PBL unit, while ensuring the Indiana Mathematical Process Standards are the cornerstones to the unit. Click here for Learning Outcomes. - Draft of a PBL unit you can use in your own classroom next year
- Sample PBL units
- Free NCTM/ PBL book
- Access to free digital manipulatives/ simulations
- New ideas for your teaching strategies toolbox
- Certificate documenting PGP hours
Prerequisite: None
Workshops are designed to be regional professional development opportunities. Teachers may register for any available workshop that is not within their region; however, STEM Teach does not reimburse for travel expenses.
