Math 542 Mathematical Statistics (Graduate)

Statistics is the discipline concerned with the optimal acquisition and analysis of data. In this course we will focus on mathematical theory and methods for developing optimal data analysis procedures. If time permits students will explore these methods by analyzing real data and doing simulations using the statistical software package R.
