Making the Secondary Math Classroom Come Alive with PBL (Workshop)

This workshop supports secondary math teachers in designing project-based learning units to deeply engage their students in mathematics. We explore the nuts and bolts of designing an effective PBL unit, while ensuring the Indiana Mathematical Process Standards are the cornerstones to the unit. Participants will leave with a draft of a PBL unit they can use in their own classroom next year, along with other PBL ideas of their colleagues. Get new ideas for your teaching strategies toolbox. Participants will receive a PBL book written by the workshop facilitators.
