Teaching Visualization of STEM topics with RStudio (Workshop)

This workshop will be presented in an online format.

We will learn to use RStudio Cloud to analyze and visualize a variety of STEM topics. This workshop is for STEM educators who would like to learn to use the R programming language as an educational tool. R is free and is widely used in academia, and industry. High school students interested in pursuing STEM degrees, and careers, may be able to leverage experience with R to increase their competitive edge. Click here for Learning Outcomes.

Teachers will receive handouts describing creation of RStudio Cloud accounts, a list of our data sources, a list of common R language commands, and code for any special functions we use.

Prerequisite: None

Workshops are designed to be regional professional development opportunities. Teachers may register for any available workshop that is not within their region; however, STEM Teach does not reimburse for travel expenses.
