Dual Credit Teachers

Graduate Courses for HLC Credentialing

STEM Teach offers dual credit teachers the opportunity to take graduate courses at a variety of Indiana colleges in content areas such as biology, chemistry, computer science, physics, mathematics, and psychology. Most classes are in an online format so teachers can access the courses when it fits into their schedule. STEM Teach pays the cost of tuition and books/materials directly to the college or university offering the course, so there are NO COSTS for teachers or schools.

High school educators teaching dual credit courses will be required to have a master’s degree in the content area they teach or a master’s degree in another area plus 18 graduate credit hours in the content area they teach. These requirements are set by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), the accrediting organization for degree-granting postsecondary institutions in Indiana and 18 other states.
